“OrthoWest is one of the longest standing orthopaedic specialty practices in the region and includes 25 of the most respected, fellowship-trained and/or Board Certified orthopaedic physicians and surgeons,” says Richmond. “We started our
partnership with them in 2015 in order to bring physicians with hand/wrist and foot/ankle sub-specialties to Fremont,” says Richmond. That agreement brought Drs. Andrew and Michael Thompson to the clinic. They will continue to provide services
in Fremont. Drs. Bryan Bredthauer and Steve Kumagai will also join OrthoWest and will continue to see patients at Fremont Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
“We are committed to providing the highest quality of care to the people in our communities, and we are excited to have this partnership with OrthoWest, one of the area’s most trusted physician teams,” says Richmond.
“Beginning April 1, 2017, OrthoWest will assume management of Fremont Health Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Drs. Scott Reynolds, Eric Samuelson, Bryan Bredthauer, Steve Kumagai, Andrew Thompson, Michael Thompson, John Galligan, and
David Brown will see patients in the clinic and provide services at Fremont Health Medical Center, including orthopaedics coverage in the Emergency Department, and surgical services at both the Medical Center and Fremont Health Surgery Center,”
"OrthoWest is excited about the opportunity to further our relationship with Fremont Health, Midland University athletes and the Fremont community, says Dr. Scott Reynolds, Vice President of OrthoWest. This partnership
allows us to continue to expand our access and bring unmatched orthopaedic service to communities outside of Omaha. As a group of sub-specialized physicians, we look forward to strengthening our dedication
to serve the healthcare needs of individuals and families throughout the area by seeing patients and performing surgery in Fremont."
ORTHOPAEDIC URGENT CARE
OrthoWest, the largest orthopaedic and sports medicine clinic in the Omaha metro area, is proud to announce the opening of an orthopaedic urgent care. Starting November 1, the clinic will extend its hours until 9p.m. weekdays, and weekend hours
will be available to accommodate orthopaedic patients of all ages.
“We understand what a setback an orthopaedic injury can be,” said Dr. Ryan Arnold, Orthopaedic Surgeon at OrthoWest. “Having timely access to high-quality, cost-efficient care is valuable to patients.”
Patients who visit the urgent care will have immediate access to an orthopaedic specialist and services, including x-ray, casting, splinting and bracing. No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are encouraged.
“A significant number of orthopaedic and athletic injuries occur after the traditional business day ends,” stated Arnold. “We want to give our patients an option in the evening and on the weekends to be seen by a specialist, knowing that it may
be very difficult to make an appointment during the work day.”
OrthoWest’s Orthopaedic Urgent Care will be held on the first floor of the Oakview Medical Building, located on the corner of 144th and West Center in West Omaha.
